As i have sensitive skin, i absolutely love natural, eco-friendly and organic products that are gentle on my skin. So when i was offered the chance to review Saaf Skincare Eraser Body Oil i jumped at the chance!
Saaf Skincare is 'a skincare brand to believe in'. They are fully accredited by the UK's Soil Association and bring together the very best of naturally active and ethical ingredients, to producea wonderfully luxury skincare range that protects, heals and moisturises.
The brand was founded by Dr Mah Hussain-Gambles MBE 8 years ago as she wanted to prove that products with 100% natural ingredients could produce better results than those with synthetic ingredients. They are also totally against animal testing!
I was sent the Eraser Body Oil which claims to 'calm irritated and itchy skin and helps to keep skin supple'. This is perfect for me as i do suffer with dry skin and since the builder's have been in doing the house i have found my facial skin to be dry and a bit itchy - the only problem being allergic to dustmite!
So when i woke up this morning with a slightly red itchy patch on my forehead i thought it would be the best time to try it out.
It comes in a tall, white box with a gold logo and the inside of the box has a pale green paisley pattern which i think is a lovely touch. When opening the box you find a quite elegant frosted tall glass bottle with white writing stating the logo, product name and purpose. The bottle is actually clear frosted glass and the bright yellow/orandge liquid is the product! (This picture doesnt do it justice and it is actually a lot brighter!)
It is a beautiful sunset colour and when reading the ingredients i realised this is because it contains Orange Oil!
Ingredients:
(98% Organic) Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) seed oil, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, Tocopherol, Citrus Nobilis (MAndarin Orange) Peel Oil, Linalool, Limonene
The instructions read:
Apply liberally to affected areas and for best results massage into skin using a firm sweeping motion
The bottle has a thin squirty 'press down' top once you remove the lid which i thought was a good touch. Although i have to say it can be quite stubborn when being pressed down and you ahve to be very careful and gentle as it is very easy to allow too muhc to come out and, from experience, for it to shoot out across the bathroom without warning!
Other than this, i am very impressed with this product! I have to be careful with citrus scents around Sonic as he's allergic to oranges so i keep this away from him and washed my hands straight afterwards. The product smells quite strongly or fresh oranges and it is a gorgeous sumemry smell that takes me back to when i visited the Dominican Republic!
This was my skin this morning before using the product..
I followed the instructions and this is close-up of the result around 3 hours later:
Sorry its a bit blurred! But it was honestly amazing! I couldn't believe that a product could do this within a short space of time!
I would definitely recommend this for anone that suffers with dry or irritated skin as it makes a major diffrence, even with the quite large price tag as it will last ages!
This will definitely become a main part of my skincare routine!
You can purcahse this product from the Saaf Skincare website found here for £35.99
That is an amazing result!
