May Favourites!

So this is my first ever May Favourites post!
I have a mix of skincare, hair and make-up products which have been introduced to me this month and i am excited to share them with all of you!

Skincare
No7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser for Normal/Dry skin - £9 Boots
This has quickly become a solid favourite and holy-grail product in my skincare routine! I picked this up in Boots a few weeks back and as i ahd some vouchers got this baby for 0-pence! It has a gorgeous rosehip smell and glides onto my skin so gently and leaves it feeling really soft!

BiO2You Organic Seabuckthorn Facial Scrub - £17 Amazon
You can see my mini Review on this here.
This product was kindly sent to me from the company and i have totally fallen in love with it - well atleast my skin has! You only have to use a tiny amount so it will last me absolutely ages and even though it is a little expensive, it's totally worth it! The grtitty consistency and colour reminds me of the beach!

Garnier SummerBody Moisturising Sun-Kissed Look Lotion - £3.55 Boots
I must admit that this was an impulse buy on my part, i wanted something to give me a light sun-kissed look which would also moisturise my dry skin - and it actually works! I have noticed a visible difference since i started using this 3 weeks ago and i simply apply it daily in the morning and it sinks into the skin really quickly and makes it feel lovely and soft

Hair/Body
Percy & Reed hair. Really Rather Radiant Colour & Shine Conditioner - £16 Selfridges/ASOS
You can read my review of this here.
This little Gem was a freebie with a magazine and think it's one of the best i have ever gotten! It makes my hair feel so soft and nourished, even when it's still wet! I am said to say it has run out today and i'm not sure if i can justify paying £16 to replace it yet.. we'll see

The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray - £3.99 Amazon
Unfortunately a lot of stores no longer stock this and i absolutely Love it as it's great for hot days and lasts Forever! I enjoy walking a lot and this is a blessing when you come home, take off your shoes and spritz some of this onto your feet.. they feel instantly cooled and relaxed and the smell is beautiful!

Make-Up
Benefit Cosmetics Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Kiss You - £14.50 Harvey Nichols
I had this put on during a make-over at a recent Harvey Nichols event and i fell in love! As soon as i saw myself in the mirror i knew i had to buy it - luckily i had £10 credit so only paid £4.50! When you first see it the colour looks quite intimidating but it looks nothing like this on the lips but brings a lovely warm colour and only a very subtle purple shade - it keeps my lips moisturised too - Bonus!

MUA Love Hearts Collection Nail Polish in I Want U - £2 Superdrug
You can read my review here.
I came across the New Love Hearts collection in Superdrug whilst browsing for a Box Swap and had to buy this for myself. I am loving Coral as a colour at the minute and although this looks quite a scary orange it looks a bright Coral when applied to your nails and for this abrgain price? Who can resist!

So these are my May Favourites! What are yours?
If you've written a post, please link them below as i'd love to have a nosey!

#Inspect A Gadget with Money Supermarket

Money Supermarket have been thinking about the best summer gadgets for travelling and your summer holiday and they want to find the best ones that will be kind to your bank balance!
To find out more, see here.
They very kindly offered me the chance to try out and review one of their Top 5 travel-friendly gadgets as part of their #Inspect A Gadget competition so they can find out which ones should be the most packed this summer!
The winner will get £1000 towards their summer holiday!

I got the chance to choose from: Kobo Mini E-reader, Portable DVD Player, Philips HD Camcorder, Sony 4gb MP3 player or an Android Tablet..
As i love reading books, have an Iphone and a computer i discounted 3 of them pretty much straight away and after a bit of a think, i don't really have the need for a camcorder so i chose the Portable DVD Player to review.

Currys Essentials 7" Portable DVD Player - Retails at £49.99

It came really well packaged and was very secure

The instructions were really easy to follow and were very clear. The dvd has a good layout and is simple and easy to use

It also came with a socket charger, in-car charger, tv adaptor and a mini remote control!

The Specifications:
Screen Size: 7"
Screen Resolution: 480x234
Screen Type: LED
Compatable Media: DVD CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-Video,  DVD+/-R, DVD +/-RW, MP3
Region/Zone: 2
Connectivity: Video Outputs
Weight: Length x Width x Depth - 200 x 157 x 40.3mm
Battery Type: Internal Lithium Battery
Battery Life: 2 hours
A/C Adaptor: Yes
Car Charger: Yes
Accessories Included: Remote Control

So overall i absolutely Love the product! I tried it out last night with my headphones in as i wanted to make sure it all worked ok..
The screen was really clear, i had to tamper a little bit with the sound settings but soon found the right balance with the sound being really clear.
The battery life is longer than stated as the film i watched was: Harry Potter & the Philosophers Stone and that is longer than 2 hours itself!
It will be perfect for my trip to London this weekend too!
So overall a brilliant bargain buy and i can definitely see myself using this loads in the future!

What's In Your Handbag? Moneysupermarket competition entry!

MoneySupermarket have asked bloggers to write a post about 'What's in their handbag' which gives them a chance to win a Mulberry handbag, purse & phone case!
You can read more about it here.

So this is my entry:

This gorgeous bag was from Boots around 5 years ago for only £12!  I love the fact it's co cute! It's a bowling-bag style and has no inside pockets but is small enough to ensure nothing gets lost, but still big enough to fit in everything i need for a normal day!

First things first, i have Asthma so carrying my Inhalers everyday is a must!

My Union Jack purse that my mom bought me for Christmas is big enough to fit all my money and cards in.

Hairbrush for those 'just in case' moments!

Sure Compact Deoderant as it's the perfect handbag size essential for busy days!

My Passport i take everywhere with me just incase i ever need to buy a bottle of wine or go for a drink last minute i can ensure i can get served!

Keys so i don't get locked out!

Notebook i carry this literally Everywhere with me as i always have random ideas pop into my head for my blog and if i don't write them down i always forget them!

My essential everyday make up!
Natroma Concentrated Organic Moisturiser for Dry Skin -
This is my go-to moisturiser and it is the best one i have ever used!

Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel - This is always guaranteed to give me a natural flush on my cheeks and is essential for minimal make-up so great if i stay-over somewhere last minute!

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse - This is one of my holy-grail products! My mom first bought it me around 8 years ago and i've never looked back! It always gives me perfect and natural coverage

Chapstick Cherry - As my lips are always getting dry!

Benefit They're Real Mascara - my favouriute mascara. With Pixi gel it gives a complete and easy natural look!

Vouchers!
I always have a voucher or coupon of some sort and always carry them with me just incase i can pop into a store! As you can see i have quite a few at the minute!

Points and Bonus Cards
I lvoe collecting my points for new and basically 'free purchases'!
Nectar, Tesco, Boots, Superdrug, Matalan and Jamie's Italian are my main ones!

I have worked out that without the gifts, the contents of my handbag is probably worth an estimated £90 plus my Iphone and the amount it would cost if i had to get a new passport! So not overly erxpensive but still plenty enough for me to miss!

Don't forget to enter this yourself if you want to be in with a chance of winning a Mulberry set worth over £1000!
I have tagged 5 bloggers and notified them on Twitter of this competition:

&OtherStories Wishlist & London Visit!

So this Saturday 1st June i am finally seeing my favourite band and fulfilling one of my childhood dreams and ticking not 1 but 2 things off my Bucket List!
Not only am i seeing my all-time favourite band, i am also visiting my football team, The Gunners Football Stadium!
GreenDay
1st June 2013
Emirates Stadium, London

So as i will be spending the day in London and the gig doesn't start until 6pm i will be taking full advantage of Central London's amazing shopping facilities!
The main shop i am hoping to visit is &OtherStories which is a store i was introduced to a few months back by Lil Miss Chickas in one of her YouTube videos!

&OtherStories are a store which was launched by H&M and after looking online i am very keen to get browsing, buying and lusting in their store!

So this is my Wishlist:
I love this as it would be brilliant for interviews!

Crystal Earrings £7 in Aquamarine
I think these are so different and quirky, they would really definitely dress up a simple jeans & blazer outfit!

I think this is such a uniquetwist on an ordinary shopper and is perfect for casual days and out-of-town shopping trips!

This is absolutely gorgeous! The colour will make a real statement teamed with basic accessories! And for the price what a bargain!

I absolutely love the wooden wedge of these sandals as they are not something you usually see! Perfect for comfortable wear and i think you could team these with almost anything!

This seems like a really unique product and i absolutely Love body scrubs! I'm intrigued at how the mix of scents will work together too

This has a mix of Tiger orchid, Lotus flowers, Nutty almond, Sweet tonka beans, Tree Moss and a splash of Tangerine.
The scents seem really intriguing and i love the colour of the mist!

I've been looking for a product like this for a while and it says it's catered to all skin types! I love being able to spritz my skin especially in the middle of a hot day and this will be perfect for day trips and travelling!

Now this is a product i've never come across before and i'm not sure i could justify spending £25 on this but it is very intriguing.. i've never thought about putting seaweed in the bath before but it's meant to do wonders for your skin!

#BEDM My Perfect Meal

One of my favourite things to do on special occasions is to go out for something to eat and discover new places!
Only last week i discovered the yumminess of Bella Italia with my friend amy and have a massive crush on their Norma pasta dish (aubergine, wholewheat rigatoni & garlic with mozzerella!)

I must say though my all-time favourite food is Traditional British Pub Food!

You just can't beat good ole' British grub!
Although i do have big-time love for Frankie&Bennys i have to admit that soemtimes their prices can amke my stomach turn a lil' bit but with pub food you know excctly what you're in for!

My Dream 3 Courses!

Starter:
I'd have to pick Garlic Mushrooms, little button mushrooms served in a yummy strong garlic sauce: perfection!

Main:
I'm a big meat-lover! To me, nothing can beat a big juciy medium-rare steak with a pile of freshly cooked chunky chips and garden peas!
(so much so that when i was 10 i finished off a 12-oz sirloin complete with chips and still ate dessert!)
The picture above is from The Oaken Arms website which is my favourite food-pub to eat in and i usually go there every year for my birthday!

Dessert:
This has to be the most tricky of them all! I absolutely love Sticky-Toffee pudding but uunfortunately not the traditional one as i don't like dates.. so i rarely order it just in case.. so in this case my Ultimate dessert is the Godfather sharing dessert that they used to do at Frankie&Bennys!
Chocolate brownies, profiteroles, vanilla & chocolate ice cream, toffee sauce, red berries and topped with whipped cream, sprinkled nuts & wafers!
HEAVEN: and i can quite capably finish one of these off on my own!

QuirkyMe Clothing - Chiffon Biker Jacket review

I was recently contacted by the New clothing brand QuirkyME!
They are a New clothing brand based in Barcelona.
It was born from the need of an artist to create..
(You can read more on my original post here)

I had the chance to pick from a choice of clothing on the website. It was such a hard decision as i love their unique collection.. but i eventually decided on this gorgeous Chiffon Biker Jacket!

It's a gorgeously lightweight jacket that is perfect for summer!
It is a sheer material but is quite strong - so no worrying about rips!
I took it on it's first outing for a pub meal and a few Guinness's with my boyfriend yesterday, it was sunny but with a light wind so was perfect for covering my arms without making me too warm in the sunshine.
I absolutely Love this jacket and as it's so lightweight it's perfect to pop in my bag in case it gets chilly in the summer.
Definitely a wardrobe staple!

QuirkyME ship Worldwide and have shipping rates starting from approx. £4 to Europe
They've got a Spring sale on right now too so go check it out!

I was sent the above item for review purposes only and all opinions are my own
