Kelloggs Fruit Loops - A Blast From the Past!

When i first saw that these had made a comeback, i was a bit sceptical about whether or not to try them as i LOVED them when i was little and didn't want to ruin the good memories if i didn't like them as much now.

But eventually a few days ago, i gave in..

And i'm so happy that i did!

What i love about fruit loops are the bright colours on the box which make it seem really attractive, fun and exciting! Pretty much like a kid again!

They have the 'must-have' children's puzzle on the back as always and again the toucan that represents the brand.

I was quite surprised how full the box was when i opened it, as some new cereals don't seem to have as much in as the box makes you believe..

The colours of the actual cereal are green, purple and orange! Exotic and vibrant colours which match the brand exactly. They are quite crunchy and sweet but don't taste sugary which i think is a good think if teamed with milk.

They really were as yummy as i can remember! They have a subtle fruity taste which makes them not too strong for breakfast and the perfect balance for children too!
They seem to make breakfast time more fun and enjoyable too - great start to the day, especially as they go back to school next week!

Bucket Lists

Everyday when we wake up, i'm sure atleast half of us wish our livescould be a little more exciting!
When i was a young teenager, i wrote myself a list '100 Things I Want To Do'

As things happen, the list consequently ended up somewhere forgotten in an old notebook, buried somewhere in the depths of my room! Although around 6 years later, i re-discovered it and as i read through it, there were some items on the list that now seemed silly as i was older, but i was actually surprised that quite a few of them had remained the same and that i did still want to do those things.

Having discovered it again, i thought i would try to re-write it.. (i never actually had 100 things listed on it but that was the goal).

I currently have 49 things on the list, and at 20 years old i know that i will not be completeing all of them soon! Although i have managed to accomplish these 7:

  • Do a professional photoshoot
  • Have blue & pink hair
  • Have the top of my ear and nose pierced
  • Have one of my poems professionally published
  • Go clubbing with my big brother and sister
  • Go to my high school prom
  • Go to Vans Warped Tour
And i am excited to say that i will be accomplishing another in around 6 weeks time which is:
  • See GreenDay live and hear 'Jesus of Surburbia'
They were my favourite band when growing up and i still love them now so this was one of the main ones on my list.

When reading through the blogs i subscribe to this morning, i came across a post on:
Slummy Single Mummy called: 40 Things To Do Before You're 40

It got me thinking, does everyone have a Bucket List of there own? I think they're a brilliant idea as you can note down and record even the smallest accomplishments that you want to complete and ticking them off gives you a sense of achievement!

Has anyone got any other suggestions or things that they would like to add to their own? I'd love to hear them!

Letter Writing - Is it really outdated?

WHen i was younger, my parents owned a caravan at the Littlesea Holiday Park Haven Holidays site in Dorset. I met a few friends there and at the ripe age of 11 i began writing to them on a regular basis when i got home.

After a few years the letters became left frequent, making way for the Social Networking sites such as MySpace and nnow Facebook.

Although until quite recently, it didn't bother me too much, thyen i was chatting to one of the girls that i met at the holiday camp 'all those years ago..' and she suggested we start writing to each other again.

Until then, i never realised that i missed it or that it was really becoming a thing of the past..

I was speaking to Sonic about it and he was telling me that his best friend had  said that his girlfriend was doing the same thing, although he couldn't figure out why an earth you'd want to write to someone when you can just send an email??

This got me thinking. It is a lovely, traditional thing to do that i do want to make more time for. Technology is so advanced now that i don't think that half of the children nowadays might Ever write a letter and post it themselves into an iconic red postbox.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to this tradition yet though, that's for sure!

NEW Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr in Turquoise Forever - 26J600

After seeing quite a few others talking and blogging about this product i just couldn't help trying this out for myself!
My question: Can it really stay on all day with no sign of wearing off or having to re-apply?

As a big fan of the Maybelline brand i definitely wanted to give this new phenomenon a go as i find that almost all of their products are brilliant!

I got mine: Superdrug - £4.99 (also 3 for 2 on all Maybelline products!)

After looking through all the available options, i chose Turquoise Forever as i thought it looked a bright and fun colour and would be perfect for spring too. It was very eye-catching and would be perfect to stand out.

The product comes in a small pot with a see-through lid that allows you to see the exact colour before purchase.

The sticker on the bottom is also in the colour of the product and also states the name and shade number.
20- Turquoise Forever

The product is a gel-creme which is very easy to apply - i use a small eyeshadow brush to apply this as it is soft and easy.

As it was my mom's birthday yesterday and we were going out for a family meal, i decided it would be the perfect time to try this out properly.

I brushed some on to my eyelid and added 2-coats to ensure the colour was even and bright.

Teamed with eyeliner and mascara, the product made my eyes look bright and widened with colour. It was really easy to apply and the colour was absolutely gorgeous!

I applied this around 3pm and by the tiome i arrived home that night at around 11pm - it had stayed exactly as i it had as soon as i put it on!
No smudging or fading of colour - i was really impressed!

I always usually remove my make-up before bed but i decided to test this product properly so keep it on. As it states to stay on for 24hrs..

This is my eyes at 12:30pm the next day..

The product really works for how long it states! I'd been wearing it for 21 and a half hours and the colour hadn't faded!
I couldn't believe it but it has just restored more faith in Maybelline products for me.

Definitely thinking about going to Superdrug to take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer whilst i can at this price!
The product will probably last me atleast 3 months.

Verdict: A brilliant product that will almost certainly replace a lot of my eyeshadows. It really does last as long as it states and has beaten my expectations!

NEW Batiste Dry Shampoo - 'fruity & cheeky' Cherry

I always love trying new products and i am already a big fan of Batiste Dry Shampoos as they do really work!

I am also a big lover of Cherries - fruit, print or smell so i couldn't wait to try out this product!

Bargain Price: Superdrug - £1.45 for 200ml!

I loved the character of the bottle as soon as i saw it, i think it makes the product look fun and very eye-catching.

The thing about Batiste that is brilliant is that it's for All Hair Types!

It is a product that is desxigned for you to use between washes that takes around 5 minutes to use - with no water of anything else needed other than a hair brush and a can of Batiste. It revitalises hair and removes any excess grease and leaves your hair looking fresh with added body an texture.

From my experience it really does work and is a real bargain as a 200ml bottle usually lasts me between 1-2 months.

They're great to take on weekends away or just to shove in your handbag incase you're going out after work or you've got to stay somewhere unexpectedly - also brilliant for music gigs and festivals especially!

I wasn't sure before i used the product if it would actually smell like Cherries as with the cosmetics market, smells always seem to be a lot different to how you imagine them - but i was really surprised! Within the first spray i felt surrounded by the smell of fresh cherries - it was gorgeous! I had people comment on my hair too as they asked what i used on my hair that smelt so nice!

I would definitely recommended this product as it leaves you looking and feeling refreshed and is great for all last-minute rush situations.
