Outfit #2 Beachfront Evening

Beachfront Evening

This outfit is based on the amazing red bandana halter top I managed to nab in the Ragged Priest Sample Sale the other week! I am going to wear it when me and the boyfriend go away for our 5 year anniversary in July so this is an example of how i'd style it up!
Not too dressy, not too casual and perfect for the seaside!

Love2Shop Haul

At the beginning of this month I found out that I was the winner of a substantial amount of Love2Shop vouchers and was absolutely ecstatic! My purchases so far are below and I will be showcasing these more in outfit posts over the next month..
I bought an array of things from basics to accessories for my brother's wedding as I thought i'd make the most of my boyfriend actually volunteering to shop with me for an entire day! (we're talking around 9 hours here!)
I did also treat the boyfriend to some Ping & Adidas attire from American Golf and a Subbuteo set!
All links are below
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Green Smoothie - A Kickstart to your system!

This smoothie is one that I definitely unsure about to begin with, blending leafy items was a new one for me and sounded slightly strange.. It does have a unique texture but I actually quite enjoy it and it really does make me feel healthy, full-up and glowing!
The texture may seem a little strange to start with but it's nothing bad - Promise!
This is excellent for a hot day where you don't feel like eating much as it's packed full of goodness and you'll be getting your 5-a-day all in one!

Ingredients:
1 Pink Lady Apple - Peeled and chopped
1 Small stick of Celery - chopped
3 Handfuls of chopped Kale
1 Handful of Baby Spinach leaves
1/5 large Cucumber (about 6 inches) - Diced
300ml Almond Milk

1. Firstly put the handfuls Kale and Baby Spinach into the blender and pour over 200ml of the Almond Milk, then blend for approx. 2 minutes until in a liquid form

2. Add the Apple, Celery, Cucumber and the rest of the Almond Milk and blend for a further 2 minutes to ensure there are no 'leafy-bits' and it is smooth

3. Pour into a glass and Enjoy!

Healthy Eating Update

So for the past week, me & the boyfriend have started a new Super-Healthy eating regime!
It includes smoothies, lots of lean meat and salads and I have to say I am really enjoying it so far!
I feel like I have a lot more energy, my skin looks better and I have been able to try out new recipes too & I love a new kitchen adventure!

I'll be posting some recipes over the next couple of weeks, so if any of you need or want any new & healthy inspiration for the kitchen..
I have always loved eating fruit and vegetables so this eating style isn't too much of a chore for me overall but i'm not saying I haven't wanted to grab Ben & Jerry's or a chocolate bar once or twice!

(It's definitely working.. the boyfriend has lost 4 pounds already!)

Here are some of our favourite meals so far:

Baked Courgette Fritters
Ceaser Salad
Kale & Spinach Smoothie
Lemon Chicken with Fresh Herbs

Keep an eye out for the first recipe coming later this week!
Happy Bank Holiday!
